Thanks mate, the application for the 820 took a lot of work but we anticipate the 801 being a lot simpler.
Apparently we can apply one month before the submission date of the 820.
We'll gather...

It seems rather strange that the email from immi has the visa grant attachment, but there is nothing asking us to provide any further evidence about our relationship.

Do we now have to go online...

Hi guys, we've just had notice that our 820 visa has been granted.

It's the 801 we ultimately need of course. How long before that lands, any idea?...

Cheers Pollyanna, do you know if we can do it directly from the immi account or do we have to print out, fill in, and then scan back in.

We couldn't find any trace of it through our immi account

Hi guys, we submitted the visa application this morning and the bridging visa will kick in on the 17th May.

Wow this info has really thrown me......there i was being advised for her to come on her 3 month tourist visa, register the relationship or get married and then apply for the 820.....it seems it...

From what i read we can register the relationship or marry and the 12 month cohabitation can be waived in Queensland....

Please correct me if you know different and I've missed something.

We were looking at the 820 visa guys.....and i believe we couldn't apply until her divorce is finalised....

That should be soon but as i mentioned, she has flights booked for Feb next year.....

Quick question guys....... when my partner arrives in February, she'll be on her 3 month holiday visa before we apply for the 820.

At what point would she get work rights?
