I got mine in 2009 as well and it was under the old ASCO code. Didn't get a new assessment. You'll be fine. :)

Not sure if I'll lodge my 176 real fast. Need to gather all the documents and I think it'll take another month or so. Real pain is trying to get an employment reference without telling my boss that...

Now to answer your questions.... I'm a life scientist. Applied on 7th Nov and received an acknowledgement about a month or so after that.

Have you applied to VIC? I'm a life scientist and applied in Nov but haven't heard anything back from them except acknowledgement email. I'm just interested to hear your experience with VIC....

Very true Big Bob! I'm sick of checking my emails everyday for an email from VIC and getting nervous every time I see rejections posted here... I'm surprised none of the people who submitted in Nov...

I didn't receive any confirmation email. However, they did request the declaration and acknowledged the receipt of it but did not say anything about processing my application. Should I email them...

Does Victoria SS requires IELTS even if you hold a passport from an eligible country (e.g. British passport)?

Hi, we're going to apply for a 176 visa as well. We're a young family and don't really have that kind of funds to show. Will this be a problem?
