Re: Baby Bonus The End

Ditto. How the twits who came up with the scheme did not realise it would be open to gross abuse beggars belief.

Re: "Australia's 10 best paid jobs" article

Not surprised surgeons are the top earners. I used to work for a private health fund, processing claims. The bills from surgeons were always thousands of dollars.

Then I worked for Medicare, again...

Re: UK vs Australia for childrens' futures

Re: Cost of living in Oz

Re: Sydney is a damn expensive city!

Perth has to be the worst. It's the most over over-rated and over priced place on the planet. Half decent quality clothes for women and kids here are ridiculously expensive.

The stuff in Target,...

Re: Can I use this baby car seat in NSW?

Agree. We bought a good quality car seat in Australia from a baby goods shop for $300 back in 2003 that came with a booster seat so could be used for a child up to the age of seven.

Never had any...

Re: What happens when the movers turn up?

Our mover suggested tea bags for the fridge/freezer. That works as well and less messy than coffee grounds.

Re: is it worth buying new furniture and shipping it or getting when we arrive in Per

Have to agree. The UK wins down on most goods not just furniture. Cheaper, better quality and definitely more choice.

Re: What are you experiences of Rental Agents?

Real estate agents are the scum of the earth. Do not trust anything they say. They are the biggest liars you will ever come across.

In fact be very wary of any business in Australia trying to sell...

Re: Places to live in Perth for FIFO worker
