Unfortunately Mental health services get lost in the middle of the private/public mish mash of health care provision.

No one really wants to deal with the seriously mentally ill.

Clinical psychologist positions are not particularly well paid. Many jobs are are for case managers and are usually open to MH nurses, psychologists or Social workers.......and the pay scales are...

But you do not need a higher degree....very different to the UK.

I have managed and supervised interns so I know what is involved.
