Re: Finding a place to live

Whatever government the UK has, it's not conservative. Some of the policies they are implementing were not far off those being proposed by UK-hating Jeremy Corbyn!

If China attacks Taiwan (off topic posts moved from finding a place to live)

If that happens, everything will tank. There will be a global recession on a scale not seen since before WW2. What the exchange rate will be will be the least of your worries.....

The West will...

Re: Finding a place to live

The UK is indeed going backwards economically but it has little to do with Brexit - their current government incompetence and apathy (it's conservative in name only and is essentially socialist -...

Re: Will I Vote In The Referendum?

Indeed - and many indigenous people couldn't give a shit either way. My wife works in the health sector and that's the feedback they're getting from indigenous folk

Re: Will I Vote In The Referendum?

apartheid is way OTT but the voice is definitely a form of racial exclusivity

It's scary that one of the World's great liberal democracies is proposing this kind of thing in 2023 but there it is

Re: Will I Vote In The Referendum?

Re: How bad is the housing crisis in Perth?

Indeed. All of those kind of areas have bad raps - Gosnells, Thornlie, Kelmscott etc but they are also places where you can live comfortably in lower cost housing. Not my cup of tea but perfectly...

Re: How bad is the housing crisis in Perth?

It depends. If you're looking to rent, it's bad. You'll probably only be able to find a place on your own if you pay over the odds. You'd have a better chance if you look for a room in a share house...
