Re: kids coming back to uk, student fees
Obviously the precise fees depend on the course. Science courses tend to cost more. As an example, my daughter is doing an Animal Behaviour degree which usually costs 9K, for which we are paying...

These are the contact details of the broker who got us an expat mortgage with the Halifax, three years ago. Service was very good, if somewhat expensive.

We've now been back for a year after seventeen years away.
What has been great:

Our Welsh Terrier has travelled from Holland to Ireland to Australia to the UK (she's now 13) and never had a problem. Our first dalmation went from The Bahamas to Ireland and our second from Ireland...

I should have added that netball is absolutely everywhere and you will enjoy the Saturday morning routine!
As far as suburbs go then anywhere on the North Shore line is worth considering. Roseville...

Re: Help with Sydney high schools and suburbs

Re: British Pubs, a gift from the Gods
In an attempt to get this thread back "on topic" I would like to put a shout out for the historic market town of Ledbury, in Herefordshire.

Re: Uk university for non resident Brit
I'm not complaining, but just as an illustration, we are paying £16,750 per year versus the "home" fee of £9,000 per year.
So over three years the difference will be about £25K. As already said, the...
