I think you're correct. Being as remote as you describe in WA doesn't sound like a good family trip for a 7 year old. We need more "diversions"

Considering the size of our family, we have usually looked for stand alone holiday accommodation - hotels don't usually work...

The question is, what does the IRS consider Willfully Evaded? Is it based on length of time for not filing? If yes, how many years not filing is too many - and therefore considered willful evasion...

Our US taxes are done and refund in the bank. :thumbsup:

We're US expats living in Australia. Still must file on worldwide income with the IRS. Deadline for expats living abroad is 15 June 2014.

We are not asking for expedited citizenship ceremony for entire family. Only for 16yo.

Are you really telling us that the only reason to apply for Australian citizenship is short term travel convenience?

Passport is easy! Pick up in 2 days. Just need the ceremony to get it done. I really don't see what the hang up is.
