Yes, our was 8 weeks; however, ours was done in Singapore which takes longer.

The instructions will be included in your PPR. There's not much else to do except send in the passport. I think we had one short form to fill in and put a sticker on the passport and that was it.

We sent in the passport the same day we got the PPR. It took just under 3 weeks. We'll be landing in Vancouver. Good luck to you.

If you can't stay in Canada long enough to get your 12 months, your best bet may be to have your partner come back to Malaysia with you and spend a month or so there so you will have your 12 months....

In my partners PPR there was a letter from CIC. This was Apendix "B" (How to Collect your passport) Now this letter was for people who are living in Vietnam so I could be different eleswhere. ...

I'm pretty sure you cannot have someone get your Visa for you. You need to do it yourself.
