I got my Greencard in the mail yesterday. 2 weeks wasn't bad at all. And they sent it to the correct address. It's taken 6 years for me to feel this way, but I'm quite fond of the Charlotte office...

Excellent. I've been looking at the application. I'm thinking of going ahead and preparing it. I'll start setting some money aside for the $400.

I'm guessing you qualified under the 5 PR year...

I'm looking into it right now. I was just under the impression the UK did not allow it. Would be nice to have a US and UK passport and be able to vote.

Thanks, just a huge weight off my shoulders. The officer also told me I was eligable for Citizenship. I don't want to give up my British citizenship/passport and so I'll stick with the Greencard.....

Congratulations! I have the exact same interview in Charlotte on Wednesday. And I got the same letter asking for the spouse to be there. Married 4, divorced after 5. I hope it's that easy for me too....
