I booked a reasonable intermediate car for about 48,000 + $100.00 ( I put made sure to put a Little spend on my Amex to make sure I got the 20.00 good Insurance you can sign up for) .

This is the one reason I kept hold of the card for so long. It's a shame it is only valid One Way though, from the US to Europe.

Could we please come to a consensus regarding tinned tomatoes ? I don't like them on a breakfast and always ask for fresh, that's primarily because of the salt content and it can make for a watery...

True , but when you are on Satellite and only get 15 gigs a month you have to order the DVD's. And the PO box is 4 miles away, ( 2 of them a bad dirt road ), so it's a bit of an effort and hardly, "...

I was fortunate 20 years ago to move to small remote coastal town on the California Coast, ( t'up North ). We didn't have any TV reception, no Internet , just the phone. It completely weaned me off...

You do get the free room every year though, ( cat 1-4 ) which easily covers the card fee.

Well in the UK you can buy BUPA or other private insurance, so you do have a choice of paying for better care if you have the cash.

If the US had a NHS type of service, ( i.e. single payer everybody covered ) I think it would overtake the UK.

However it doesn't ........... So it won't !

Tonrob, I am thinking of taking the train from NY to WA DC, have you ever taken this route, I will have to transfer some chase points over to Amtrak which will be a first for me also.
