This may help you get a realistic idea of take home pay. http://www.salaries.co.nz/a/salary-tax-calculator/ it is pretty accurate, not to the penny for some reason, but close enough to gauge.

Well w're half way roughly.. Jut arrived at Hong Kong airport, so far so good. Our little girl slept for the majority of that flight so that was a god send!! Now for the second leg to Auckland!! :-/....
