You cannot vote in Spain even if you are a resident. You get a postal vote for your UK member of parliament.

I think the answer is to converse with waiters in Spanish, but if they clearly speak better English than I do it is pointless batting on in Spanish. I also think it would be sensible for restaurants...

Your recommendation was good! They didn't have an English menu but then they didn't have a Spanish one either! Plenty of Brits in though including a cycle team.

If a waiter speaks to me in English I am only too happy to continue, but the menu always seems more appetizing in Spanish and all too often the English on the menu is abysmal. I do not know why...

Any insurance broker or company in the UK is OK. Just insure normally at your UK address and say you are going to Spain before you leave. They will usually include 60days cover for free. ...

I bought the first one from Left Hand Drive Place in Basingstoke. They were very helpful but a bit expensive. The next one I found privately in Autotrader. You can also do a search on LHD...

As I understood it the salient point was insurance. If a car is registered in the UK it is possible to insure it for use in the UK and then 60 days at least in Spain. This is plenty of...
