I think marital status makes a difference, from everything I've read... and quite a lot of people have still got a home in the UK which should be taken into consideration, hence it mattering!

As I understand it each region can choose to follow, or not follow, the government's chosen limits/allowances. I'm aware of the 700k limit however this should in theory apply to all 'wordly goods'...

Different in many ways to our situation, because my son has only a slight gap in his level of English from what it would be if he were in a school in the UK therefore no reason to 'drop' his...

If either of us were a native Spanish speaker I wouldn't have any qualms, but I speak appalling-verb-endings-told-off-by-my son- type-Spanish and my OH although he understands a lot speaks barely...

In general I've drawn so much of a blank that I don't know whether to go 'humph' and putter about how typically British it is that languages are low on the priority list .... or to start prepping...

By chance someone on a FB group I visit asked about denture repair only today; one of the answers was from someone who seemed to have legal knowledge who said words to the effect that dentures can't...

I know it's all too easy to take offence in pixelland but I've said he's fluent. Spanish friends tell me if they didn't know his voice and see him, they wouldn't know he was British. Not 'probably...
