They have said they will process applications faster, but we are talking about a public sector organisation here with a brand new process to follow,...

Re: Trayvon case

Just like all of the people calling foul and stoking violence; I don't know enough of the facts to form a realistic opinion.

Hot and steamy in the bedroom tonight

Bloody weather.

Too hot to sleep.

Re: FSW attorney cost

As has been said DIY is free.

We have a FSW application in at the moment and it wasn't hard to complete.

The hardest part is all the leg work you have to do to get IELTS, photos, job reference...

Re: The 2012/2013 FSW Timeline Club

I'm sure many NOC are full in reality. Big piles of applications sitting in a room at cic, but these are the 163 they have opened, confirmed are complete and successfully taken payment for, hence...

Re: The 2012/2013 FSW Timeline Club

FYI: there's been another cap update on the cic website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

Numbers are still much lower than I expected. Perhaps the only...

Re: ghastly morning sickness - whatcha think?

I suppose it depends if she was a regular part of the syndicate.

Legally though I doubt she has a leg to stand on. You have to be in it to win it, and she wasn't on this particular occasion.

Re: PR's don't want to pledge

I agree.

If I had to say the whole pledge then I would, but if I could leave out the queen part (hey, there's an idea; make it optional  ), the oath would actually mean something to me...

Re: How well do you know the United Kingdom?

Re: PR's don't want to pledge

Amongst other things, she has the power to declare war and send our troops to fight it (she does command them after all) , to dissolve a government and personally choose the next, and to put...

Re: PR's don't want to pledge

And before people start to say she's just a figurehead, in the UK she has an incredible amount of power (not sure about canada). Now if she exercised that power to the full extent I'm sure there...

Re: PR's don't want to pledge

If I want citizenship in Canada and was eeligible then I'd have to do it, but that part of the oath would be a somewhat........ Empty pledge.
