Re: Joint Accounts

The lease was in my name alone when we were renting and the plan was that we buy the place we were in at the time. He was chipping in with bills (electricity etc.,) Halfway through sorting it all...

Re: Joint Accounts

I wanted a bit of time to play with so I could get something set up back in England before I went. I'm living in his house and he could quite easily ask me to leave and then where do I go. I don't...

Re: Joint Accounts

He doesn't have any weird habits that I know of. His ex took him for thousands as well as two houses in his last divorce and I think he went overboard on secreting things away. Whatever the reason,...

Re: Joint Accounts

Obviously something is amiss but I can't work out what exactly. We do have one joint account which is a stocks and shares account, though I put in the initial funding for it and have lost track of...

Re: Joint Accounts

Well asset wise it's all a bit tricky. As far as I know, without seeing a lawyer, the house is nothing to do with me. It's an irrevokable trust and I don't have life tenancy or anything. He said...

Re: Joint Accounts

Long story cut short. Before we married and before I moved over here he told me that his place was totally unsuitable. It's his house, in his name and he owns it outright but his mother and her...

Re: Joint Accounts

No there was no prenup. His assets are really well protected in all sorts of trusts and there really isn't anything in his name, though it's all in his name. I paid the entire rent last...

Re: Joint Accounts

He wants the house to stay in his name along with all his assets. He said if I bring my money over then we have have a joint current account which I'm not especially keen on as he's a bit of a...

Re: Joint Accounts

That was my argument. The house is his and will stay that way. The boat is his and will stay that way but he's saying that I put my money into joint names or I go **** myself!

Re: Bringing my dog to the usa

If you want him to fly alone as cargo then the price will be a lot higher. It's far easier and cheaper to have him travel on the same flight, and just pay the excess baggage fee along with any other...

Re: Passport Worries!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Save yourself some sleepless nights, and next time you're home, go into the police station and surrender yourself. If you didn't do it, a quick interview may be all that's needed to clear the matter...

Re: Germans and towels on sun beds - official !!

Don't remember that one, but I do remember a great sketch about planes. A BA pilot was trying to find a gate to park at but Lufthansa had taken all the spots.
