I meant to add that the visa officers would not comment on individual cases in any case because they would not have the full applicant's information and finally, they are busy enough already!

The Canadian child does not belong on the IMM8 at all. The child should only be mentioned on the extended family information sheet. Correct that and the problem disappears.

The short answer is no, you cannot call them to advise of a change of address or any other case information. If you think about it you will see that it must be the that way.

Background checks include security and terrorism related concerns and are done by people who are very busy on those two issues. The delays are resource bound in my experience in such circumstances. ...

For landing as a PR passports need only be valid on the date of landing (because the person is coming to stay).
For visits the passport must have 6 months of validity remaining.

It is low skill workers who find themselves at the end of their maximum stay. They cannot qualify as skilled workers.

Those affected are in low skill jobs, something that had never been possible until the new government listened to the wrong business persons. There was never any chance of PR at that skill level and...
