Got an email about it. Interesting as I've been paying off a loan from a british bank account and have been depositing money via Wise. Would be probably one step simpler to just do it all in one...

Not really. As most people are fully vaccinated it's what you'd expect. Would be worrying if these people got seriously ill or died but the vaccine tends to negate these possibilities.

I applied for my citizenship online back in February. Once you go through all the steps they email you a timeslot.

Took about an hour and a half. Involved a lot of sitting around on mute waiting...

Dunno, haven't really seen or experienced that in the decade or so I've spent here. You'll get racism in every country but I'd say Canada is far towards the bottom of the list of racist places.

Just waiting for my ceremony invite now. All other components completed. Decent effort from CIC, about 8 months from applying to basically done.

Got an email the other day with a test invite and request to send in scans of all passport pages (what a tedious process at the scanner). Sent those last night.

Took the test today and passed....

I experienced the same sort of thing. GCKey thing not working, confirmation of payment email but no email saying my application was actually submitted (did get a screen at the time in the browser...
