although I was pissed at first, tbh I was quite happy to do a skills refresher. I too did a weekend course with the ottawa safety council and think it was worth every penny. sure I could ride a bike...

my 1st year for a 2002 kawasaki nomad was around 2k for the year, it's down to $96 per month now for 9 months coverage with the TD pay as you ride plan.

that's for 3 years Canadian clean...

I took mine in Stittsville near Ottawa as the wait times for an appointment were a lot shorter.

It's very easy. Similar to the UK test but less tasking. All your low speed testing is done on your M2 on a small bike 125-250cc range.

The actual road test pretty much involves somebody following...

I agree, for me as long as my head and feet are warm, the rest of me pretty much follows suit :rofl:

I wear either a hoodie, or just a dickies hoodie jacket, with a nice warm toque and gloves.

I've been in Ottawa for 3 years now, met a lot of people who I enjoy sharing a joke with or having a chat/beer...and one or two close friends. It's just like home, it takes time to build up a bond...

if the road test is anything like the Ontario one, it's very similar to the UK one. You wear a radio and they follow you for about 20 minutes giving you directions. They're looking for your road...
