True, but these are minuscule responses to the threat. Basic preventative measures. I didn't feel my rights had been hugely violated because there wasn't waste bin in the station/airport.

IMHO Fredericton is the best of the three (I would say that wouldnt I.... we looked at all three and chose Fredericton). Plenty of french spoken in Fredericton.

Please don't see Canada as a cheap option, in my experience food is expensive, work for new immigrants isnt easy to come by.
