Re: Internet and tv

Also check out Europa network. I used them for years and found them to be excellent. You don't have to have their box, just connect your computer to the tv via. an HDMI cable.

Re: TV and Internet help

You are the one who is confused, and doesn't seem to know the difference between TVCatchup & BBC/ITV iPlayers (which are catchup TV, and they use that term when advertising their programs).

Re: TV and Internet help

Not at all. You are talking about the UK TV program 'TVCatchup' and not the BBC/ITV catchup players. Perhaps you would like to tell us which VPN you are using 'cos I'm sure others would like to know!

Re: TV and Internet help

If you read my post again, you will se that I am saying that If s small concern like TVCatchup could block VPNs, then the UK iPlayers (BBC & ITV), could have done the same, but they didn't, and still...

Re: TV and Internet help

As you know, TVCatchup were able to block a VPN years ago. So why didn't the UK iPlayers do the same? If a small company like TVCatchup could block, I'm sure that had they wanted to they could have...

Re: TV and Internet help

Interesting, but the point of my post (94) was that apart from TVCatchup, none of the UK TV companies, BBC, ITV, Ch4 etc, appear to worry, or can be bothered to do anything to block the use of even...

Re: TV and Internet help

There's nothing new in being able to block the use of VPN's, 'TVCatchup' did it years ago. Companies can easily do it, if they want to!

Re: TV and Internet help

Check out Europa Network. I found them to be first class! If you use your computer connected to the tv via. an HDMI cable, you don't need their set top box.
