Re: You know you are in Australia when...

Re: Life in the bush

Great post with many interesting stories. We had our time in the bush and loved every minute of it. It's a wonder we're here to tell the tales sometimes.

Re: Adultesence

I got told, by another parent, that I was mean to my children - because they make their own lunches (eldest was 5 at the time). I used to but my eldest didn't like the way I did it, I suggested he...

Re: 10 years and a little bit… and still here!

Hi Julia! Amazing that our paths haven't crossed, it's always lovely to hear accents from home!

Chinchilla is certainly a changing town, we were here for the end of the boom and of course...

Re: Let's spice things up by resurrecting the Gay marriage debate

Having worked for a RSL - it's about respect.

Smart attire is also requested, no men in singlets, no rubber thongs after 7.30 pm etc. All clubs have slightly different rules to suit their...

Re: Question on Age for Moving Kids

Re: Anyone else got a Fitbit or similar?

Hubby has a Garmin version. Syncs his text/calls from phone too which is handy. Son also "had to" have one and it's good to help him focus on activity levels.

Re: Moving to Oz

Working holiday visas are given for a year? Is that the one you mean? In which case, yes, you have to be under 30 at time of arrival for that to be a valid visa choice.

Depending on your role...
