Yes recently. Death on 28 oct funeral nov 24. This would have been Earlier if it had been cremation not burial. Weather in winter can also cause further delay. I was surprised at the time frame...

I am with you on climate, last few trips to UK, weather just feels so comfortable. Extreme temps probably total a couple of weeks a year max in UK.

On a holiday property on the sunshine coast we have NBN with OPTUS.

Letter arrived telling us our area was being cut off that we MUST connect to NBN.

It is so painfully slow and at peak times...

I have lived in both, live mostly in Victoria, still have business in QLD and live overseas for about 4 months a year.

QLD and VIC are very different states, with huge areas of difference in each...

I am not looking forward to brisbane's spring 33 34 etc, melb was more like 14 today, nice and cool, 20 here and there in the next week, thats plenty warm enough for spring.

Unless I am in the wrong thread, the OP had a large family and needed a home with 4 bedrooms and car parking for one or two cars.

That would cost a bloody fortune to rent in any inner city trendy...

160000 will be about 1800 a cwee after tax. Not bad but rent on a 4 bed house near beach could be 650 skywards you could easily pay 1000 in top suburbs. I would say 300 for food for 6 inc bubs...

Couple of things, one, your budget for housing, I would say double for Melbourne, and wage differences are not that different, if much at all now.

Melby was feels like 6 at lunchtime. First cold day and it was beautiful. Bit of sun, falling leaves, windy. Winters on its way.

Bloody hell, half a hour drive in peak time :lol: you would need to live very close in.

Had to drop my car for service into a Essendon ( inner suburb ) yesterday. Needed it there by 7.30...

My son lived in a pretty leafy bit of st kilda east. Lively not quiet, nor low crime. Lots of young 20 renters, great for nightlife close by.
