I think they had about half a dozen on draught but yeah, two of those were Stella and Hoegar-however you spell it. I liked it there but I just didn't like the prices, I really think they are taking...

It's called the Belgian Cafe or Belgian Bar - something like that. In the Intercon near where AMPM used to be. Very nice and all that but really - Dhs40 for a beer???

Your assumptions of costs of accommodation and education are good, but pretty much everything is expensive here. Latest bar to open - admittedly selling very good Belgian beer - is 7 quid a pint....

Agree, but shame the piss-poor beer was bloody Dhs40 a pint and the bar staff didn't know their arses from their elbows.

If they are being that tight from the word go I'd tell them to get lost. What housing are they providing? Flights home (just for you?)? Do you get an education allowance if/when you have kids? etc...

People do have dogs here so it is doable but as far as I know it is v v expensive to get them here. Yes there are vets, yes there are parks (but please make sure you take plastic bags...
