I can't believe it finally happened. I had my oath ceremony yesterday and am now an American citizen. It's been a long road...I started this journey in 2001 and I can finally relax now I've seen it...

I would assume that if she wanted to know if my marriage was lawful she'd only have to look at the marriage certificate I presented to her. And as you correctly stated, my visa was not marriage...
