Re: Which Suburb Toronto???

I wouldn't suggest living in the 'burbs, where you need a car to get anywhere. If I were you I would live in a nice Toronto neighbourhood like High Park or Bloor West village.

Re: Getting a mortgage

Mortgages through brokers often have very poor terms and conditions even though they appear to have better rates (lack of ability to pre pay etc). Usually the banks will give you a much better rate...

Re: Anyone moved back to the U.K. while pregnant?

I'm not going to give birth in the U.K. because it's cheaper. I don't pay anything for healthcare in Canada - it's covered by government run healthcare. I'm just trying to weigh up the pros and cons...

Re: Anyone moved back to the U.K. while pregnant?

Thanks. I'm just not sure if it will be a problem or not since I've been out of the country for about 9 years. I'm hoping that the NHS will cover me since I'm a British citizen, but I'm not sure if...

Anyone moved back to the U.K. while pregnant?

Hi - I was just wondering if anyone here has any experience of moving back to the U.K. while pregnant? Was it easy to get seen by the NHS on your return for pre natal care?

Thanks!

Hi Dewdrop,

Thanks for your reply, I hope you and your family manage to get over as well! The way I see it is that you can replace cars and houses, but you can never replace the relationship you...

Thinking of Returning to U.K. from Canada

I'm thinking of returning home to the U.K. for a few years, it's not that I dislike Canada, I just think I've been away from the family for a bit too long and I think they'd appreciate it if I went...

Re: Anybody else glad to see snow in Ontario?

I'm not enjoying it that much - I hate slush and the streets of Toronto are now full of it! I was quite enjoying a green winter for a change.

However it is fun for the kids and pretty to look at.
