Re: Quick entry for spouse of uk citizen

The EEA permit under the "Surinder Singh" ruling (which is what we're talking about here) is probably preferable now, since the rule changes for the spouse visa. This is because the length of...

Re: Old UK driving licence

Finally! They should really also make it a requirement to have the licence on you when driving as well. The "must report to a police station within x days" if you don't have it when stopped by...

Re: The Most Racist Countries are...

Probably more of the case they tried to do the survey in English, so the French just brushed them away muttering "English pigs" and "les rosbifs". Fair deduction really ;)

Re: Concern about citizenship

If you believe you already have Australian citizenship (and from what you say, you do) then you need to request evidence of Australian citizenship - i.e. Form 119.

Wouldn't that be an indication on how they expected to be treated by your OH?

Re: My CAR IS TOWED AWAY, NEED ADVICE

It's possible that Company A has just subcontracted Company B to tow away there. Just pay up and learn your lesson about parking in the right spot.

Re: Perth Zoo - 5,000 free tickets

I went there a bit before he died, it was in May 2005 - and all I remember is there being burgers on the menu with expected stupid names like "Bindi Burger" etc.

Re: Have not been back to Uk for 10 years has it changed?

That's a government legislation issue - I really don't understand why people aim criticism for that at the companies when it's legal. Take the focus away from the companies (and rich people) who...

Re: Aussie Dollar

Bizarre statement - the AUD to GBP was $2.35 in November 2007 and $1.74 in August 2010 when Labor won office in the last 2 elections, and today it's $1.56. On what planet is that a downslide of the...

Re: stormin norman

You paid for a service, they were unable to provide it and offered you either an alternative provision of the service or your money back. Not like you lost any money. Sounds fair to me.

Re: Perth Zoo - 5,000 free tickets

Interesting how on the "where to eat" page (http://www.australiazoo.com.au/visit-us/where-to-eat/) of their site there are 2 photos of food: one of burger & chips, and one of a hot dog.

Re: Visiting soon thank you

Quickest way to Berwick from the airport would be either taxi or car hire - taxi would be expensive, car hire probably expensive. Alternative would be airport bus that stops at Southern Cross...

Re: Concern about citizenship

From what you say, it would seem that you are still Australian (by descent).

On something else, is your mother aware that she can obtain British citizenship without losing Australian citizenship?...

Re: Conflicting info on working holiday visa

Not sure if I understand this, particularly the bit I bolded. There is no minimum work requirement on a working holiday, except for what is required to get a second visa. It is a holiday visa that...
