I think that I read somewhere, that there is a bit of a "mini ice age" effect... and the UK gets hit every 150 or 200yrs? Or am I imagining this ?

Paid a visit to Melbourne zoo in December. Really enjoyed it! Nice layout and gardens....and very good value in comparison to Australia Zoo up here.

I don't think it's the "real" rate at all..... just a much closer proxy of purchasing power. Exchange rates fluctuate by the minute, but shifts in purchasing power only change over the long term.

I reckon you'd need a combined income of $400k or $450k to get equivalent purchasing power.

I don't think you'll find any "affordable" housing in Sydney or surrounds. Just my opinion. However on...
