Tuppaware, bed linens, some kitchen supplies (scouring pads/dish cleaners.... i buy with coupons so they end up free). Also will be taking some basic medicine, large packs of ibuprofen etc.

we live in a 3 bed, 2 bath house in a small-ish city about 45 mins from Raleigh/Durham NC and pay $795 a month in rent.
Utilities (electric/water/sewer) run us $200 a month

If you get lucky with an expedite it can make it slightly faster, but most of the time simply having a child or being pregnant won't speed things up, but if you write your expedite nicely enough you...

The order in which I got my things were ....

SS number - then 2 days later SS Card

Welcome letter - about 2 weeks after arriving

Green card - 3 days after welcome...

ah well hubbys car and health plan wouldnt let me be added without it. We said what about the ITIN number, but they said they needed to wait for the actual SS number.

eek sorry hun..

I got in on a weds, went in the following weds and they told me immigration processed my papers on the previous monday, so they printed me out a copy of the number till the card...

we just got done with a CR1 visa.

7 months 21 days from posting the papers to VISA in passport.

I visited hubby twice during the process, once for 3 weeks, once for 89 days :)

mmm yeah I LOVE that place... I always have the bacon carbonara with peas.. its soo good. And the Red Velvet cheesecake.... omg heaven.

oh cool :) Were living in wilson NC, atm, about 45 mins from Durham but head into the triangle area about once a month for shopping and concerts etc :)
