Re: Mind going crazy!

Re: Looking to bring my dog from US to UK. Any Help?

Really sorry to hear about your loss. Wishing you well with your move back! I second Teremok with suggesting the QM2. Not as dear as you might think, and you need some pampering!

Re: Moving back in three weeks ... home and belonging?

I had dinner on Monday night with my ex-work colleagues from before I went away. I love them all, we shared a big part of our lives for years, but I felt exhausted after. Why? I was trying to explain...

Re: Moving back in three weeks ... home and belonging?

Yes, it is home and I do belong here but it's not all tea and toast and snuggly feelings.[/QUOTE]

True! It seems as if our country which can always seem a bit negative has accumulated a few more...

Re: Moving back in three weeks ... home and belonging?

J.Js.OH, I can empathise with you in that my OH loved living in the US and felt lukewarm about returning to the UK. Since being back, though, he has resumed some hobbies he previously enjoyed, but...

Just looked at the photos, it looks like a lovely walk with an amazing variety of things to see. You do seem to have fallen on your feet as far as places to live go!

Re: First Update

Hi, Whofan! I don't think you'll miss Hells Kitchen for long. There is a plethora of cooking shows, where Head Honcho type chefs terrify their minions, on UK TV. Just try Masterchef for a...

Re: Moving back in three weeks ... home and belonging?

Almo, I am very happy to be back, but have days when I miss the US, I think I am just a different person from the one who first went there, kind of like my horizons have been stretched.
I suppose...

Re: Moving back in three weeks ... home and belonging?

Hi P-Funk,
I returned almost a year ago after five years in the US (husbands job).

Re: Question for the ladies - mammograms

Sorry, don't want to panic anybody, but my eyes were opened to find that there isn't just one type of breast cancer. It can take several forms and they're not all identified by finding a lump.

Re: Question for the ladies - mammograms

I've been through the mill, am now fine, but I would say its best to go and have one. I think the problem with the British age for mammograms is you end up thinking "I'm not old enough for a...
