anyone try to get car insurance in edmonton without having any uk no claims? hubby wont have his canada licence a year until august but we're hopfulyl getting a 'run around' soon - but got no idea...

you can get a copy of ALL you kids (and yours) medical records from your cdoctor and consultant and bring them with you - thats what we did and found that the canadian doctors are far better at...

yeah - just spoken to two doctor peoples - $250 for the tests (thats half price compared to uk)... its just the wait becuase the test have to be mailed to ottowa .

basically my friend can apply for a change of work permit, do a medical here - then send it off - it takes 3 months here for it to get on the system - he said...

you need at least 12 months old of joint legal documents - ie joint bank account, joint morgage etc... recommended you get joint wills too.

hubby - if he gets the job =90% sure it will happen - he will get the hrsdc approval for his job and there for the visa for him will be fine - same as my...

perfect - thanks. she wants to work but they also want to be here asap. if she can do the medical from canada and change it then the 3 month wait will be easier than asking his new job employer to...

is that an open one - is it that you can get ANY job afterwards? thats our concern - we can fidn the money - the extra time might be an issue but its whether ti would be resticted to her having a job...

thanks - its about 3 months to change the permit but its an issue of (a) costs and (B) if they need an actual job tog et the proper open permit ie with no restrictions...

one of ours friend has just done this - basically you get to go to canada, take the journey man exams, then your company can give those results to the HRSDC and you get your work permit... the 6...
