Thanks for the replies. I thought I'd read that you had to leave and re enter Canada. Were in Calgary so the border is only approx 3 hours away, so it looks like we are visditing the US.

How to I get a 'open spousal work permit'. Do I just fill in the Work permit form on the CIC website and send off the fees in the same envelope as my Work Permit form?
