We moved over here when my twin boys were 10 (they will be 15 in october), and I thought they would keep their british accents......
Yeah, that was a mistake. Within 3 months they started to lose...

My twins were just 11 when we moved over here. They come over as full fledged Yorkshire Monkeys.... Everyone loved them, they were a real novelty.
Within 3 months it was gone, and they sounded...

June 12th 2008, for 90 days on the vwp with the hubby and kids to get the house set up ready for when my CR1 was approved...
Then as a 'real' LPR on December 14th 2008, Manchester to Cincinnati.......

I don't understand the not locking of the doors.... At work we have to knock before we try open the door because at least 6 of the grown women we work with don't lock it and have been caught with...

I didn't read the whole of the last thread Ian is referring to, but reading his post, I back that sentiment 150%. LTR is not a DIY job. Just by going into it referring to the past is a huge mistake....

I'm the Brit, and I'm mom to my stinky teens, even though they were 10 when we moved here and always used mum before then. I even call my own mum 'mom' now, just habit I guess.
