just to be precise, bus drivers don't have weekends off, they work shifts, so sciopero di venerdi does not let them have a long weekend off

Just a qick update. I got back from the UK yesterday and evrything ran smoothly with just the carte d'indentita until we got o the Italian passport control on the way back! The police woman asked me...

Il pozzo di S. Patrizio, when mykids are forever asking me for money, I often say to them "what do you think I am , il pozzo di S. Patrizio" means my pockets aren't as deep as that well:D

I know the thought of it gave me the shivers:) maybe I should post a new thread to warn everyone. Anyway BOTH parents have to be there with 2 photos , the kid in question and it cost you 5 euros.

you don't need a passport you can apply fora carta d'identità for minori, they issue it the same day as you apply for it. Both parents have to be there! f your driving to France you won't have...

No! Whist getting my 15 year old daughter her carta d'identità(once they reach the age of 15 the lasciapassare are no longer valid) I saw soo many kids there , so off I went to my local police...

She does need a "patentino" many schools do free 20 hr courses,from what I've heard the exam is pretty easy.
CBT, now try and immagine explaining that to your local carabinieri:):unsure:
