well said the trades down under are indication that they can provide training that's accepted in Australia that's NOT the case at all.Any training for trades must be completed in Australia...

if the TRA says he has NOT completed the required 4 x years apprenticeship then you may find he shall have to do a couple more years as a top up course to gain the required amount of trade time

Regarding your current qualifications, it makes NO difference what quals you have obtained in the UK, once your here you must do the state electrical exams at a RTO most Tafe's (Colleges) do a top up...
