Hi, been a while since I visited the site!

We've been in SW WA for almost 7 years now and love it, but feeling the pull to live near Sydney.

Just wondered if anyone else has moved interstate?...

TBH I think between 3 to 6 months is when reality sinks in that you are here to live, it's not a holiday. I remember those days.... and even though I have never once regretted moving here it is easy...

Not sure what your circumstances are but we gave up with savings accounts, seemed to cost us a fortune in tax on the interest. Now we have an offset account against the mortgage so we pay less...

When we arrived 4 years ago it was certainly cheaper - a lot cheaper - but with the rising cost of land and the falling house prices now it works out probably cheaper to buy an established house.

I agree, some of the questions were hard to answer as I am in late pregnancy and obviously this influences thoughts and feelings so my answers would be completely different if it were just a "normal"...

friends of mine have just been up to kalbarri and coral bay, looked lovely from the photos and from what they've said so why not try there? would certainly be warmer than coming down south......
