why is property rel. expensive in Yelloknife?

I thought property would have been quite cheap here but looking it's quite high. Is it because of the big business up there pushing up prices? (mines,oiltransport etc.) I mean I'll bet most wouldn't...

Yes. 7 years and 2 years abroad. Thanks for asking....oh and I've traveleld around the world several times...have relaitves in the USA/ other countires...

Love snow/cold/ice etc...ok UK has about 2-5 weeks of it max in winters so i guess it might be different with 4+ months of it. We'll see.
