Re: Another US school shooting

I thought Piers Morgan handled the issue extremely well on CNN yesterday.

Re: Help......Looking for a Babysitter in Bedford NS

Have a look on kijiji, as there are usually ads on there.

Welcome to the area, and if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help. We have two girls (5 & 7) and live about 15 mins from you.

Re: Am i needed??

I think the comment that "and Canada will welcome you" is a little misleading. From an immigration point of view, I agree, but for most, getting employment is still a significant hurdle... especially...

Re: Hiring a car in UK with a Canadian Licence of less than 1 year?

I've rented on a Cdn license before lots of times, and I suspect you're being given false information... I wouldn't even worry about it. If one asks too many questions, go to another company.

Re: French Immersion - comments please

All the classes are taught in French, but there's lots of repetition and sight words up on the board. Hardly any of the kids speak French as a their first language, and the teachers know this. Of...

Re: Moving to Nova Scotia

Realtors sell houses, whereas you're looking for a letting agent (I can recommend a realtor too though if you like).

Re: Moving to Nova Scotia

There's a large expat community in NS, and there's a few meet ups throughout the year (BBQ in the park, bonfire night, etc).

Unless you're looking for a LOT of land (eg/ over 10 acres), you can...

Re: UK 6th Canada 10th Education

Here, my 7yr old (Grade 1) is in a split classroom- i.e. the teacher is teaching Grade 1 kids and Grade 2 kids at the same time. I cant see how that's good for either set of children, and I suspect...

I'm still struggling here. It is perfectly possible to employ a lawyer to prepare the contract here in Canada, for much less than the cost of using a realtor (purchasing). It's not a service that...

Re: Realtors ...

You think your realtor deserved the $30k (or whatever it was)?
A half day of his time- lets be generous and say he charges $300 an hour. We're looking at $1000 max.

Re: Trying to get to Halifax for Christmas-which is easiest?
