Woodlands Indian Restaurant in Ruwi is good, and serves alcohol. Might be a bit of a trek from your hotel though.

There's a good, if a bit pricey, Curry House (serves alcohol too) not to far from...

Have stayed in Al Qurum last night I can say I've stayed in a lot worse. Wi-fi is catastrophically bad though, mind you, it seems to be everywhere in Oman...

Oh and the Hotel Bar has no liquor...
