Re: rental and estate agent headache

They're all too busy pretending to be celebrities, they seem to live driving around in cars that are plastered with photos of themselves.

Re: Duck Hunters

On Friday I printed 7 t-shirts that simply said 'DUCK HUNTING FOR CHRIST'

I kid you not.

One of my colleagues then asked me what duck hunting season was like where I'm from, its a the odd comment...

Re: Can I work for more than 12 mths on a working holiday visa!

You're not meant to work for more than 12 months but by the sounds of it plenty do without any issue.

Re: Will we struggle on $65K please

I'd say it was easily closer to 3 than 2, maybe 3 is slightly high, maybe 2.75 might be a better guide.

Re: Will we struggle on $65K please

Forget all the exchange rate nonsense, here's how you work out if a move is worthwhile.

To achieve a similar quality of life here in NZ you'll need to earn about $3 for every £1 you earn in the...

Re: Sad day

Living in a town populated by people that blame anything and everything on what a woman did 30 years more like, if as much effort was put into putting the town back on track as has been used in...

Re: Why New Zealand?

The last figures I saw I think Barnsley had the lowest unemployment figures in South Yorkshire.

Plus the highest placed football team!

Re: Why New Zealand?

I'm at this stage:

Stage 3b) You can't educate pork

Dinner is in the middle of the day and Lunch is something posh wank3rs say.
The words 'known' and 'shown' have only one syllable.
Still chuckling...

Cos it ain't that bankrupt over populated litter covered sh1thole full of state sponsored lazy layabouts I used to call home that only Eastern European peasants would ever dream of living.

There's...

Re: Dunedin Meet Up?

We'll have to go out again soon. I'm still chuckling to myself about one of the stories Ben told me about working in one of the rough parts of Barnsley. :)

Re: Veggies Delight, Quorn arrives in Countdown!!!

Re: Veggies Delight, Quorn arrives in Countdown!!!

It's £1.89 each or 3 for £5 at the Asda back in the UK. I could afford Quorn back in the UK but $9 for a bag here is way too much for me.

I'm not sure how much chicken is, I'm a veggie.

Re: Veggies Delight, Quorn arrives in Countdown!!!

I've just checked on the newer Countdown in Dunedin and they do stock it too, well out of my price range though.

Re: Fitting a new kitchen on a budget here in NZ

Fitting a new kitchen on a budget here in NZ

I know it's been discussed before on here about how expensive it is to have a new kitchen fitted here in NZ. So I thought I'd let you in on what we did.

Firstly I got a quote from a builder who...
