My IEC visa expires on Tuesday, however my pay does not come through until Thursday. I am working right through until the last day of my visa. When it comes through I will have the $2500 I need to...

Right well I have just got round to starting the second part of my application and all of it is pretty simple except the ****ing police certificate.

Finding work with little time remaining on visa

Hi,

I am in Vancouver and my visa expires in May, I am applying for another (IEC) but until I actually have the SIN number I am not allowed to say I can work beyond the end date of my current one....

It says payment due by 27/12/2013 - presumably I can submit the payment on that date? My bank will be closed xmas and boxing day and I need to make a transfer.

You can log into Kompass and view your application in pdf to double check for mistakes.

OH MY GOD. I wont give my exact number but I took 7 mins and am in the last 50 places. Feel like I am about to die, but think I am ok.

Yeah man, this time is so much more stressful than last time, because if I hadnt got in last time I would have just found something else to do, but now I am in Canada my entire plan/future involves...

Yeah, my hope is that the major rush all applied the first round and this round will just be those of us who were too much of a deadbeat to get through last round.

I ****ed up big time, thought we were two hours behind ottawa when actually we are three, got here at what I thought was 09:30 am ottawa time and went to the site to find visas all gone already....

As far as I am aware you can cross the border and return within the hour. You need to have a bank statement with $2500, they will not accept lease or work reference. You could print the statement,...

I am not encouraging anyone to do anything, I am just reporting my personal experience. Unfortunately sometimes people have a tendency to be dishonest when urging people to "do the right thing".

Just to let you all know I got in through a major airport without being asked for proof of funds, insurance or any of that stuff. I think unless you are super unlucky to run into someone like Former...

I live in downtown Vancouver so probably 20+ for me. I like Tim Horton's though, I even have a Tim card.
