and even if he does get the 'tax-free' breaks in the UK there is no tax-free arrangement in Spain, so as a resident he'd be liable to pay tax on all his income here - he'd need to do a tax return...

yes you can..... but what if your local extranjería is one which wants you to show regular payments into a Spanish bank before they will let you register :confused:
maybe it would just take more...

you're on contract so paying tax & NI - & presumably benefiting from healthcare etc here as a result....
you'll be gone before the 183 day 'limit' - but will have paid income...

you have to go to Denia to register as resident first - then the INSS to get SS numbers & then register on the padrón in Jávea at the Portal del Clot offices ........... then you can register at one...

our local office was a few weeks ago asking for 625€ pp a month paid into a Spanish bank account - other offices ask for a balance of about 6000€ &...
