Re: Wanting to go home but husband doesn't want to

We run our own business from home, so we're kind of interdepedent finacially. I've thought a few times about trying to get a job mainly for meeting people and the health insurance, but there are...

Re: Wanting to go home but husband doesn't want to

Thanks for all your replies.

I think we both do still want to be together - things have just been a little stressed lately due to finances and our obnoxious ATV driving neighbours that drive my...

Wanting to go home but husband doesn't want to

Hi

I guess I've been thinking over my situation on and off for a while now and I thought I'd pop on here to see if anyone else has been in a similar situation.

I got married and moved to the US...

Re: Automatic transmission or stick shift

Definitely a manual for me - tried my husbands old automatic a couple of times and hated it. He wanted an automatic again but luckily they were hard to come by for the car we wanted so he had to...

Re: Oregon anyone?

I'm also in Oregon but about 80 miles south of Portland. We're hoping to move to Portland within the next couple of years though.

I know what you mean about the effort to meet up with other...

Re: General Questions About Working In Uk

If you're a recent graduate I'd look into the direct graduate recruitment - you don't have to still be at university to apply and most companies hire quite a few people a year straight from...

Re: Christmas crackers

We got some from Costco last year - they only seemed to get them in stock at the last minute but they were really nice ones - big crackers with really good things in. They were maybe more grown up...

Food Processors

Does anyone have a decent food processor they could recommend?

All the ones I've seen over here seem to be pretty rubbish compared to ones back home. I mainly want one that's good at grating cos...

Re: British passport for infant born in US

I think the British Embassy advises you to stick with just a US passport until they're 18 unless you specifically need a British one for some reason.

I think having 2 passports for kids just...

Re: US Citizen moving to France/Italy

Thanks for the replies.

I don't think we'll be moving to the UK first - the Med is our compromise location - he doesn't want to live in the UK and I don't like it here in the US

I don't think...

Re: 10-99 Tax submission on H1B (HELP!!!)

I'm not am H1B holder so I can't comment on anything relating to that.

Both me and my husband get paid as consultants and so get 1099's, though. I believe that the company will also submit the...

Re: State to State moves any experience?

We did Uhaul from Los Angeles to Oregon - cost about $1200 + petrol. It wasn't that much more for a removal company but the issue for us was that they took between a week and 10 days to get your...

Re: what if status expires after filing AOS?

I believe the 90 day deadline only relates to actually getting married, not filing AOS. I'm not sure if there's an actual deadline for AOS but I would do it as soon as you can. In my case I filed...

Re: Leg room

I've only flown with AA once but it did seem to have the extra leg room - it also had the back seat TV but the films weren't up to much - I don't think I'd heard of one of them.

The best...

I don't think it needs to have an actual barcode to be machine readable - I think its all those >P>>> type things at the bottom of the page.

For years I've seen them swipe my passport through a...

Re: Are passport photographs adequate?

I used passport booth type ones with no problems - I even forgot to do the 3/4 face thing and they didn't seem to bother!

I think they're more fussy when it comes to AOS

That's kind of the way I saw it when I was getting all my AOS stuff together but I got the supplement just to be on the safe side.

I did, though, submit a copy of the K-1 medical vaccination...
