Re: 2020 Election

My social media timeline is pretty heavily split with friends on one end still claiming "its just the flu". I just find that very interesting.

Re: 2020 Election

Genuine question - why is it generally that it’s those on the right who are far more skeptical that the coronavirus is in anyway serious? Why is it that people who think Trump always tells the truth...

Re: 2020 Election

I'm massively enjoying the idea that he - a barely-cogent, thick-as-mince, germophobic man-carrot - is shitting himself because other people are falling sick around him. If I were prone to...

Re: We took a little road trip...

Lived around there (Lewiston and Grand Island) for awhile where my ex-wife grew up. You really didn't need a passport to cross over at all if you were local until after 9/11. Just astounding seeing...

Re: Phoenix, AZ

That is exactly my wife's argument. We get 90 degree and 90% humidity. And on top of that for 6 months it's snowing. My wife pines for predictable, dry, hot weather. Add a lot of her field happens to...

Re: Phoenix, AZ

Cheers all.

So are the bugs bad then? I only ask because for a large swathe of summer walking from the car to the house here results in umpteen black fly bites and a frightening number mosquitoes...

Re: Phoenix, AZ

Nice work people. She's there for 5 days. Probably will drive around (pop out to Flagstaff for definite) a bit. And it being here she's still going to take a fleece (and will likely wear it as well).

Phoenix, AZ

Morning.

My wife is off to Phoenix in a few weeks to "see what it's like." Mostly what absurd dry heat feels like (and to do some stuff for work too). Where we live in CNY is humid, wet and the...

Re: Do You Still Call The UK Home?

Where I live now is the longest I've ever lived in one house. In the pragmatic sense it's my home. But I'm likely moving later this year to an entirely different place so it'll change then.

But I...

Re: Anyone a YMCA member?

I have family membership. My wife signed us up 18 months ago and I thought she was mental. I'm still completely torn about it. It's $80 a month with most things included like music classes, child...

Tonight on Radio 4 was the banner comedy show - Mark Steel's In Town. He rejected a move to television with that show as well. He's about as non Oxbridge set as you can get.

Add that the biggest...

Re: Fry, on the difference between our comedy
