No, CIC don't accept CRB checks. As per the document checklists and CIC website, it must be an ACPO check.

You don't need PR or a health card to be considered resident for tax purposes - just ask those on IEC's! :lol:

My husband and I had planned to spend 5 days in Vegas too, when we did a road trip around California/Nevada. But we left after 1 night. :lol:

+1. If you're eligible now, apply now as things change so often in Canadian immigration that you don't want to wait and then find you're not longer able to get a visa.

Exactly, that's the reason why most say that implied status doesn't apply to those on IEC - as it's only for those renewing or extending their visa, but the IEC can't be renewed or extended. It...

:confused: OK, so on what status did you stay for a few weeks after your IEC expired? If you didn't switch to a visitor visa, and didn't have a TWP, then you did overstay surely?

So did you not get the LMO? But you switched to a visitor visa after your IEC expired? So they won't think you overstayed, as you were allowed to stay on a visitor visa after your IEC expired.

So if you have Canadian citizenship, then you can just sponsor your husband and child for PR (that's assuming your child isn't also Canadian, do check on that). Easy peasy then, and doesn't matter...
