We did ask after the ceremony and were told that we did not need to get Certificates of Naturalization for our kids (daughter almost 15 and son almost 17) but they could in the future if they wanted...

Yes, we will be keeping our UK passports. I guess it will make it easier to come and go between the 2 countries, especially if you need to stay for extended periods for some reason.

I take the official times with a pinch of salt. I learnt how off they can be when our GC was processing. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long for your application to be processed.

I'm filing my application in Charleston in October this year. I'm hopeful it will be processed in time to make me eligible to vote in the next election. USCIS has processing times for Charleston...
