In Calgary, with the crazy increases in property prices, you can now get a 35 year mortgage or interest only mortgages :scared: wouldn't recommend it myself.

Out of 55K a month I’d allow ~27% for deductions, so take home of about $40K.

As for a mortgage payment, around $1100 a month?? Once you add taxes / elec / gas etc. you would have used well over...

All the area’s you’ve mentioned are really nice in my opinion. I’ve lived in Sunnyside (next door to Kensington) and am currently living in the Mission area.

A place in Mission would be better...

I heard somewhere that China had overtaken the UK as the 4th biggest nation in terms of GDP.

The UK has a GDP of about $2.2 trillion and Canada about $1 trillion, the US is at about $11 trillion....

I honestly don’t know about the requirements for others courses but like dingbat said there is no apparent standardization between universities in Canada which makes it very difficult transferring...
