Yes you have to park on the side of the road with the flow of traffic.
If there are parallel parking lines you have to drive into them not reverse into them as you can get a fine for doing it.

letter boxes
ok so the postman doesn't take the extra 20ft it would need to put mail through a letter box in the front door. No we have to have a post box at the start of the land (bottom of small drive for us)....
