Re: State sponsorship in Australia

If the State offers to Sponsor you, then that is the job offer. You will be located within the state where there is a shortage of teachers.

Re: Police family Thinking of a move to Australia

In my experience I've encountered a lot of British Police officers in the Pilbara. As they tend to sponsor to get people into the areas that they struggle to find any body to work.
Being in some...

Re: Primary Teaching in Australia

Sorry for the comments that you may have found as rude, smug, condescending Jen.
Very blunt & to the point with my writing style, no offence intended. Simply stating known facts.

Re: Primary Teaching in Australia

To be honest Jen, if I were living in Toowooba & had no experience of the issues in certain parts of remote Australia I'd have the same outlook.
Experience is what really counts ;)

Re: WA - Driving Licence conversion

You'll get a car & a bike. Any truck stuff & you'll have to sit a test to reach the Australian standard as British truck licences mean nothing in Aus.

Re: Can I teach in Oz after not completing NQT year

Early years & Primary positions are hard to get into in popular areas of Aus. The more remote you live the better your chances of finding work.
Would say yes you'd be able to pick up relief work,...
