I dont think it is like that. Granted some locals do act in this way as do some Westeners.

I have had 3 visa's here.

2 x Dubai municipality (x-ray only once)
1 x Jafza (was x ray)

wife has had many..5+ i think

and was x ray'd on around...

The 3 beds at al raha are not even 300K so your statement about 400K+ for al raha is not truly a correct reflection.
