Further update now 2 weeks to travel and still no email - previous personal ETA now been canx and still no correspondence!!! can't believe how ridiculous this is - so got an approved study permit...

Just in case anyone else is in same position I thought I'd update - sent another web form and emails - nothing - we were now 15 weeks since applying so I on Wednesday decided to send s letter to UAE...

Yes the first group of villas were the only thing up here at the time. In most of the freehold villa areas you have to drive to get anywhere ie ranches, the villa etc

Maybe but when faced with 45 mins sat in traffic at certain times of the day and half an hour to school and back I know where I prefer- 5 minutes to school and 10-20 minutes to anywhere else in Dubai...

We've lived in DSO for almost 7 years now after living in jumeirah for 3 years and much prefer it here and as you say great for DESC - pros and cons everywhere.

I've heard Repton is good in the early primary years not so great (or it wasn't) for secondary. Ranches to Repton probably 25 minutes not sure from Meadows. Closest to Repton would be The Villa or...

Ok I came here 10 years ago when again as now places at schools were scarce we came looking for a year 2 place - nightmare ended up at Horizon - personally didn't gel with the holistic approach so...

But as OP has expressed interest in Wellington and Kings I can't see that those schools will be acceptable. Personally I would find school first and house second. Main problem is going to be FS1...

Streaming Problems

Anyone else having problems with Internet streaming. I did read there was problem due to cables etc but my Internet if fine unless I've got VPN on then speed goes from just under 8 to less than 1....

Enouraging words or not my husband is 777?tre so he knows the industry! You need to take the jet job as offered - most people aren't that lucky and have to work their way up through turboprops!
